• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

  • Jason...found the bolt pattern on LS1tech and it is 5X115. btw, I like those wheels fasho :D
Hey no problem. I love talking about cars and sharing what knowledge i know. I personally got my car Dyno Tuned with HP tunner for $150 didnt do to much to the Trans setting, 10% bump in line preasure.
how streetable do you want it? smooth idle? cammin to heck? 400 is very easy to get on any LS based motor.

I have had excellent luck with Comp, Lunati, many people also have good luck with trex, and G5's.

a 224/224 with a 116 LSA is going to have a smooth idle. a 232/240+ with a 112LSA is going to have a monster idle.

lift should be the last thing looked at. but for stock chamber I would not go over 590lift. a 560-588 would be fine. valve spring change is a must for a cam swap.

226/228 588/588 with a 112LSA would be a darn good start....or something similar to that spec. I had that in my 97 S10 with an LS1 and it loved it. topend! and in the event you do hook a kit up...it works well with it. get on LS1tech.com. and just do searchs for NA cams. dont go over kill!! there is no need for a monster cam.....
how fast do you want to go? any LS based camshaft will work in your GXP. that means the same camshafts for Vettes, Fbodies, GTO's will work. are you strictly NA? nitrous? SC/turbo?
