Anyone have any suggestions for a bike rack? I had a thule I had used on a previous car but it won't quite fit on the GP w/o scratching the lip of the spoiler. I can't seem to find any that would fit the car without causing any scratching...

Anyone else have this problem or have a brand suggestion that fits their GP well... or any other car with a spoiler for that matter....

I thought about going with a roof bike rack, but then I would lose the use of my sunroof.

If you wanted to put a receiver style hitch on your car, there is the rack that slides into them.

I had the same issue. I had a nice rack from Thule that mounted on the trunk, but looked like a roof rack style rack. But our cars aren't meant to support a rack on the bumper anyways. They say the weight will deform the bumper.

I got a 1 1/4" receiver hitch installed and use a receiver style rack. Now nothing touches the car.

I have a no name brand that i found in the trash that I absolutely love cause its so small and a THULE. Ive never had any trouble with scratches but I did have a slight issue when I tightened it down too tight. it left a very light indentation on the back of the trunk lid. the other issue I have is that that the trunk lid flexes as i drive along and the bottom straps come loose. A covered peice of wood for the lower "feet"/pads on the rack would solve the problems.

there are a few, id suggest getting the class 1 reciever and a reciever rack.

Unless they have a fleece wrap around the nylon webbed straps it shouldnt be strapped to a painted surface.
