The headers are not made anymore for our cars. The kits from hoagn I think are around 200 bucks for all the piping but not 100% on that. The 3'' you are talking about would be great to the Y' and 2.5 back from there. Do not go with flowmaster mufflers the rob and hp gain of doing an aftermarket exhaust. I plan on doing the same 3'' to 2.5'' on my car when I do it. a little tip our cars sound like silverado's so search on youtube for some different sounds. I hope this helps.

Advice to me was 2.5 inches was fine because thats what we already have (I'm not sure though). Hoganperformance sells kits for our cars but they look a little expensive. The choice for our cars has been magnaflow though. Doug Thorley makes headers but they're 900 bucks. Hope some of this helps.
