    Ticking s/c or manifold?

    I'm taking the stethoscope to it tomorrow to track the actual source (when I find where it's hidden), but I've got a ticking noise coming from the engine bay, fairly distinct, but soft, can't hear it unless I pop the hood. Seems to fade when I rev up. I could be wrong but it seems to be coming...

    Ok, so. Friday my '97 GTP started, ran, everything fine. Monday morning not so much, it sat for the weekend. I had to crank it for 5/10 seconds two to three times before it finally fired up and revved to 1000 rpms (where it normally goes to warm up) Then a few seconds later it splutters, coughs...
