    1994 3.1 Do I have to replace the oil pan itself or just the gasket? (Assuming the pan is in good condition) Can I use RTV? How difficult, or easy, is this procedure? Am I going to have to drop any cross beams? Life the engine? Any special insights into getting it done? Thanks!

    Loose connection? Being slowly driven mad!!

    Shop had car for 3 days--Can't find problem

    Battery about 8 months old, alternator about 6 months old. Battery is not being charged properly, trouble with it last two weeks, having to jump start it now. Could it be the voltage regulator?

    New CAT--Would it get rid of high hydrocarbon reading?

    Have failed emission test twice-Only part of test I fail is the hydrocarbons. CO and NO readings are ok. Found a vacuum leak, fixed it and that dropped the hydrocarbons about 15%, they are still too high. Just did the plugs and wires. SEEMS to run better but I don't know. Will go test again...

    Failed emission test again.

    Found a defective PCV tube that was letting air leak in. Replaced and the car's idle dropped to normal speed and the car ran much better. Hydrocarbons had been 2.36 on the first test with the passing standard being .80. Second test the hydrocarbons dropped to 1.9. What else? PCV itself...

    Oik dip stick broke

    The handle of the dip stick broke off, it's plastic. The remaining "stick" is now about 2 inches down in the "tube" and won't budge despite my best efforts. Can I remove the tube from where it goes into the engine in order to get at this thing. I do not want to have to take off the oil pan.?
