    car wont idle. have to keep it running

    97 grand prix gtp. Running fine then all of a suddent it won't idle. I have to keep my foot ont the gas to start and keep it running. As soon as I let of the gas it stalls. What is going on???

    would like advice on best way to replace engine.

    i just got a 97 gtp. the engine is locked up. will a standard 3.8 short block work after putting the supercharged heads and intake on? when pulling the engine, should i pull the trans with it as well?
