    EGR valve cleaning and removal

    For some reason I got the P1404 code the other day. I was sitting for a while in line at Taco Bell and I dont know if that had a thing to do with it. I bought a new egr valve but havnt installed it and really dont want to since its such a waste. I cleared the code and it hasnt come back yet...

    Reason I ask is that I have tried various setups on past vehicles and its been hit or miss. What was a waste of time on 1 car was good on another. Last car was just basic cone on end of pipe. No heatshield, no fenderwell install. Just basic and worked fine. This time around I see no reason to...
