• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

    Vac line routing

Paging Scotty or anyone else who knows what to do here. Top swapping an 04 LeSabre. Can't figure out what to do with this vac line. The standard L67 diagrma says this line goes "to accessories" but I don't have this line (or I can't find it). So, questions: if I'm not seeing it, where is it...

Thoughts on a '04 LeSabre build

All right, the Dad called me last week and told me that the transmission was acting wonky. So I plugged it into the scanner and sure enough, p1811 came up. I've ordered a shift kit to buy some time but I figure the trans' days are numbered nonetheless. With that in mind, I told him I was...

    04+ Specific Problems?

As the thread title indicates, are there any problems specific to the 04+ Grand Prixs that I should be on the lookout for? I may be looking at one soon and would like to know what to look for. Apart from intake gaskets and rust below the gas door, of course.

    More lines for signatures?

Just as the title says - I've been wanting to add more cars to my signature, but I'm limited because it says "The signature is too long". But I see some users with five, six or seven lines of signature. Is there some group or permissions page that I'm missing out on to be able to have a longer...

    Why Cold Air Intakes Matter

Why Cold Air Intakes Matter Thanks to Brian Turner of Dynotune Motorsports (Dyno Brian) for getting my thinking cap on. Also a shout out to Dan (dsmuts), Clay (CapnBreakAlot), Matt (AlphaGP), and others who were there at the 3800 dyno day and spoke to me afterwards, plus others I’m sure I’m...

    Intercooled vs. e85

All right, I'm stumped here, so I'd like to see if I can get some more tech-minded people to weigh in. The search bar is more than useless, and it turned up nothing. A guy suggested I could run e85 and get more power. I told him sure, I probably could if he's spending the $500 for bigger...

    Random crap parts shelf cleanout

All right, time for me to get serious about cleaning up the house. So, the extra crap on the parts shelf has to go (in addition to the extra cars). All parts worked when pulled unless I specify otherwise. Local pickup only, I don't have paypal. Located in Dayton, Ohio. All pictures can be...

Redneck rusty rear strut tower fix

All right, most of us with older GP's, especially the further north you go, have had plenty of salt on our cars. That shows in rust - rusty rocker panels, rusty lower doors, rusty pinch welds, etc... but especially rusty strut towers. The last one of those is a true death sentence for our cars...

    GP's are poor getaway cars

http://wdtn.com/2014/03/26/high-speed-chase-ends-with-crash-in-kettering/ "Witnesses told 2 NEWS the chase reached speeds up to 100 mph." Clearly the GP is not a good getaway vehicle... At least not the 3100 versions... Could the 3100 reach 100 mph?

Grand Am GT... in the Prius

Driving back home from Philly today through that mess of snow and wind. Was on I-70 just west of Columbus when I passed a red Grand Am GT with ricer tail lights. Didn't think much of it but a few seconds later I heard a great thunking sound and suddenly I'm spinning the hell out. Went across...

Why you don't let clay use your tools

Clay attempted to pull the wheels off his Eldorado as part of a front brake job. This guy sat around all morning for me to wake up, because he has no tools - no jack, no jackstands, no breaker bar, nothing to get the wheels off. Not to mention no c-clamps, no goodies, or anything. So I show up I...
