    99 GP gear shift stuck

    Howdy. Mechanically challenged dad needs help. 99 Grand Prix Shift lever stuck. Vertical (Yellow) plastic piece inside shifter won't move. Fuse not blown. Popped the console but don't know where to go from here... When I turn the key the little button pops out on passenger side like (I assume)...
