    Fuel Pump Reinstall Issue

    I have a 2000 Grand Prix GT. The gas gauge quit working so I pulled the pump and replaced the sending unit. Problem is, the fuel pump doesn't want to go back in place.     P1878 Diagnostic Code

    My 1997 Grand Prix has a P1878 Trouble Code. I searched the forums and couldn't find any information other than the description P1878 Transmission Transfer Case Disengaged Solenoid Circuit Failure. Does anyone have any suggestions how to test or repair? Thanks
