    Tranny sounds turn out to be far worst..

    well i was last turning to the Forum Court of Opinion on a sound that I could have sworn was internal tranny sound....well engine finally locked up, pulled the motor apart and found cyl. #3 was the culprit, connecting rod broken, piston smacked wall and gouged, crank is gone...now my question...

    Trany whines....I think

    do these trannys have a tendency to whine through 2nd gear? Mine whines till 52mph than the shift and the whine goes away...I do need cv axles but would that whine be linked to shot cv axles? this is my first front wheel drive so be gentle...only does it with 3/4 accelerator load, if i baby it...
