HELP!!! I have a 97 Grand Prix that i bought to run in a Enduro Demolition Race. I have the car about 85% complete and i was putting some finishing touches on the car such as hammering the strut plate up to allow some bigger tires and relocating the fill spout for the fuel tank. The problem is now it will not stay running. It starts right up every time and after 2 or 3 sec it shuts down. I have tested the fuel pressure and it is good, it acts as if the fuel injectors are being disabled.I can keep the car running by spraying starter fluid in the intake. I don't think there is a security system on this car but i am at a loss at the moment and hope that someone out there has come across this before.
