sc oil

hey guys i had to drill out a stripped snout fill plug and i tapped it hold a new bolt....i thought i had got all the metal shavings out but i guess there was some very fine powder dust because my sc oil looks like silver sharpie ink....anything i can use to flush it out a bunch of times so i dont have to buy sc oil so many times?

Just drain the oil and save yourself the money and put new oil back in it. YOu have to do the same thing when you get a polished blower...the SC oil just picks up all the fine particles...it isn't going to harm anything. Just change it.

I'd suggest pulling the snout and rinsing with brake cleaner. Put it back together and refill.

Brake cleaner shouldn't harm anything and will remove residue etc. Refilling with oil will relube the bearings.

yep, if you got shavings in the snout i'd pull off the snout (which is easy enough), clean it real good on both sides, reinstall it and put in fresh oil. Simple as that...
