• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

10000k hid's vs 8000k hid's which one can you see more with?

im not wasting my money because the 8k will still be brighter than my stock halogens i understand you guys are saying that 6k is better i know they are i just dont want them thats all.

I'm just not sure why you would want to intentionally make people hate you.

No matter what color, HIDs in stock housings look tacky anyway, so getting any specific color still makes you look rice.

So you save your cash to do so rather than doing it wrong.

You'll have to pay for new bulbs once you retro anyway.

So those aren't HID's in your sig? Or do you have a "Get Out Of Rice Free" card? :p

Yes they are and yes I do. It's called Retrofit.

I know you now have retrofits now. I said in your sig; those do not look the illumination of retrofits.

And are your fogs retrofits? :th_tongue2:

Picture is photoshopped, all the brights are brighter and the darks darker. It's also raining in said picture.

The fogs are not, they have no reason to be, they're aesthetic only, pointed straight to the ground. They're also 3000k, most people don't even know they're HIDs.

Also, here's a picture at more of an angle, up-close, no editing:

These plastic lenses seem to take on a lot of the light, so it makes it a bit tougher to tell it's a retro with a camera, in person you'll know for sure.

Also notice how blue that looks? Yeah, those are 6000k.

No cause I'm lazy. But I used to have HIDs in stock housings.
A.) I knew right away I hated it.
B.) I know my Retro is giving me MUCH better light output. No questions asked.

a retrofit is like $300, whereas a GOOD HID kit is going to be around $120 when all is said and done. this seems like a no brainer if you actually have the money to spend (which you should, no one should be limited to a modding budget of $100 or less. if you are, go back to work and save your money).

I for one can kinda feel your pain here, I mean yea I've had jobs and I make money, but it might not be the "ideal" job that you think of when you think of having a job. Sure, I'd rather be some place else right now doing something else (I'd love to be in the IT field as a job shadow person or something, or even working along side more experienced people) but for now I'm just kinda taking whatever I can get. I mean at 17 I kinda understand that working at McDs or wherever might not be your idea (or my idea) of a "job" but money is money no matter how you earned it.
Yea it might be hard finding a "good" job at 17 but I don't believe it's bad enough to the point of where there aren't jobs for young 17 y/o guys looking for some money. Heck, there's a local produce farm around here the employs 30-40 highschool and college kids from spring to fall....most of whom are young guys. I've worked there during the summer 6 days a week from 5AM-9AM, sometimes to 11AM or noon if there's more work. Sometimes I've even worked there after school. It's not much money, and it's not a cakewalk job by some standards, but money is still money. I don't complain.
I'm sure there's jobs out there, they might not be the ideal job for you, but IMO I think at 17 you should take whatever you can get.

(How's that for a motivational speech? :p )

I threw papers from 11-15...then started working pizza. Did that until I was a manager there...then left for banking. Been there ever since...it's called motivation...kids these days *sigh* My younger sister is the same way, thinks the world owes her everything. Where is the work ethic..if you want it bad enough, get off yer couch and fill out some apps. Who cares what the job is...you can get away with working at Pizza Hut making pizzas, or McDonald's flipping burgers...now when you are 25-30...kinda not so much. Then you start getting made fun of LOL

And for the record...with minimum wage over $7 an hour now (at least in Missouri)...working a couple weeks flipping burgers would buy you a retro-fit setup.

Get at me.
