Danielle's 99 GT :)

And now, I present to you.......

I can see now! YAY!!!!

I do have some questions tho:
1. We didn't put the relay harness on. They only flicker for maybe 2 seconds when first turning on....wait to install it to see if really needed?
2. Bright Light signal is on in the dash and HUD, will the harness turn that off?
2A. The HUD bright light started flickering and was all sorts of pissed off on the way home...is this normal?
3. They say to "wait" 30 seconds after turning them on before turning them back off....Ok that's fine. But, when I lock or unlock the car with the remote, the lights flash. Will this hurt them? If so, is there a way to stop the lights from flashing when lock/unlock?

Re: Danielle's 99 GT (sneak peek)

Yes is does hurt them, There is something you gotta do turning the key back and forth or what not and it disables the headlight flash and the horn. Did it to mine a long time ago and cant remember exactly how its done. Il look around for the info but im sure someone will chime in by then lol But looks good :)

Re: Danielle's 99 GT (sneak peek)

Remove mall pgm fuse from the glove box. Turn your key backwards to accesory. Press the lock button on the key fob, youll here some chimes, you it until you hear only one. take the key out and put the mall fuse back in. Bada bing bada boom

Yea I double posted sue me :th_king-normal:

Re: Danielle's 99 GT (sneak peek)

$60 :(

All the dual/dual/rolled tips are so stinkin expensive.
And I probably oughta get new muffs too...so theres another $60ish.

I'm having a hard time pulling the trigger on tips because I have access to very cheap/maybe free, dual/duals...but they aren't rolled edged.
Decisions, decisions....stupid female brain and trying to be all logical and junk.

Re: Danielle's 99 GT (sneak peek)

Muffs are fine I think, everything sounds good anyways. I haven't climbed under in a few months to check surface status.
But they can wait a few more months.

Maybe I'll see what tax return time brings...

Re: Danielle's 99 GT (sneak peek)

Hahahahaahaaa. no.

Tax time should really equal = Pay off loans
Theoretically, I shouldn't get much back.

Looks good from the pics. I would still recommend the use of a relay harness. But that is just me. This way the HIDs get power from the battery than the factory wiring. The high beam indicator is on because you either have a low beam only kit or the high beams not being properly terminated. You can live with it as is. I am pretty sure that the relay harness should take care of that as well. As far as disabling the flash to entry, you can either do the method that was posted about the mall pgm fuse or you can reroute the wiring to flash the corner lights instead of the headlights. When I was running HIDs, all I did was reroute the wiring to keep my flash on entry. It is simple to do. These are good links to reference for it if you choose to do that.

Now...all you need to do is make your "Pontiac" light up like mine did.

Re: Danielle's 99 GT (sneak peek)

Thanks for that Guz! Until I get a chance, I'm just going to lock/unlock manually to help save the bulbs from premature death.

Got flashed this morning by 1 car after I had passed 5 last night and another 10 this morning, idiot wouldn't stop flicking his brights at me. I just flashed my fogs off and on. I'm not to worried about that 1 lone person who thinks my lights are to bright. Don't care, I can see at night now :)
They do need adjusted down a little, but it was still sorta bright out after we did them last night.

Also, Bill....Can I haz those tips? lol *drooling over here*
I don't have a Pontiac to light up, or I would...that looks cool!

I am getting pretty excited to put the purple inlays on and finish my glitter spraying. Boyfriend saw the grills last night while working on the HID's and noticed the 1 wasn't done...he thought I was strange :)

Re: Danielle's 99 GT (sneak peek)

youre gonna get flashed more. get black headlights at least so youre not a fking lighthouse. and get a relay harness.

Re: Danielle's 99 GT (sneak peek)

Liking those tips too... link???
:)

Please... ;)

These are the ones I posted:
Grand Prix Am Charger Mustang Dual Exhaust Tips 3.50" | eBay

youre gonna get flashed more. get black headlights at least so youre not a fking lighthouse. and get a relay harness.
And I haz a relay harness, just didn't get installed last night.
I'll look into the black housings...I didn't really wanna buy another set since I already have these and a set of clears in the basement.

Re: Danielle's 99 GT (sneak peek)

Those tips look great. You should definitely get them.

As far as the black headlights, don't get the ebay versions. The chrome reflector is smaller which means less light. If you want black headlights just paint a stock set. That will still keep your light output the same.

Re: Danielle's 99 GT (sneak peek)

I'm gonna just deal with it right now.
I have other things that need the $120 to go towards other than headlights.

And I love those tips more and more each time I look at them.

Another question...the driver side headlight has always kinda bounced around, well now I notice it more with the HID's in.
I hear of people putting weatherstripping on the bottom side to stop that. I have some left over from when I did my doors. Its the rubber bulb style. Will that work to go under the headlights? Or is foam better?
I was thinking the rubber would be better so it wouldn't tear and it's denser than the foam. (and I already have it)
