Gtp vs Mustang Cobra

I was on my way home from a party crusing with 3 of my friends( big disadvantage already as I weigh about 280 myself lol), when I noticed a car with purple hid's in the distance behind me. So I did the speed limit and let it catch up to me.

When it got beside me I realized it was a yellow cobra. He pulled up beside me and was signalling to roll down my window. He said he had a gtp aswell, and had the 3in downpipe and a 3.5 pulley. I asked him if he wanted to do a quick race. He said ok when you step on it ill go. So I stepped on it and he blew by me like I was standing still. We went from about 60km/h up to about 130 and by the time I hit 130 he had about 2 747 jet lengths on me :(.

So we came to a stop light and i asked him what he had in his car. He told me he had full bolt-ons. I told him mine was stock besides the intake. I didnt even try to race him from the light, I wanted to keep a bit of my dignity.

So I got stomped, but i figured id post it anyway as it was my first race in this car.
 


Well it seems he is struggling with self confidence. Otherwise one would want a race that makes more sense.
 


Why is it nobody posts BS about beating a Cobra, yet every time I turn around, someone has just partially awakened from a pipe dream where they've held off *insert LSx WTFEvah*

Probably because it's much more impressive to beat an LSX then a Cobra in most cases, especially amongst Pontiac lovers. If I were trying to impress guys here, or perhaps join the Super Mega Grand Prix Friends Club, my "pretend" kill story would have to involve an LS Fbody. naw mean?
 


Perhaps, point taken. On a side note, I had the wife's GP at the shop Friday, and a guy driving a V6 Stang comes in with (wait for it...) a broken downpipe at the manifold...While we were welding it up, he comments" Hey man that your Gee tee pea, I had one of dem, they're so fast i use to blow away vettes an eclipses an 5.0s all the time" I continue welding as the poop flows from his piehole. Finally he asks so, that thang purty fast? I was like, "Eff no, it's a G-D GTP." He looked as if someone just stole his puppy.

LOL, I'd have to laugh in his face....

But don't you know the custumer is always right?
 
mustangs? please slow pos girl cars if you ask me. and there ownars total dip****s to. my brother in law has an older one and when we raced i whipped his tail.

how does you draw that idea? i aint never lost to a mustang ebfor. i think you r understamating the kid of power these duratech tauruss have im no fool and stuff. i dont think i can beat a transam of a camaro im sure i wuld get edged out on that one there.
