• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

New again.

How are you all doing?
Im back on this site. I had a 99 GTP with a bunch of mods over a year ago. But then someone stole it :(
Im going to buy another GTP soon (97-03) and will have about $5,000 extra cash.
I was thinking about getting
3.0 S/C Pulley
Cold Air Intake
Ignition Wires/Coils
Decently big cam ;)
Valve Springs
Roller Rockers
Pushrods
Cat-Back Exhaust
Headers
U bend/resonator Delete
42lb Injectors
3.29 Gears
Shift Kit
Tune of course

Any suggestions on brands??? On the mods (had most of these on my old one)??? Anything would be greatly appreciated. Any input on what else I should do or shouldnt do or if im forgetting something. Havent been in the GP scene in a while so go easy on me guys. Thanks guys.

I'd skip all that and go right for the Z7 Turbo Kit from ZZP. You'll be making more power with about the same amount of money in it and with a pretty stock motor. If that's the case, I wouldnt even mess with buying a gtp. I'd be looking a clean GT, save some money on insurance as well. The gt's are often found cheaper and in a bit nicer shape then most gtps.

Nothing aganst LS powered car's. I own one my self an love it!

But I can think of a number of reasons to stick with a w-body car over an f-body. Easy Reason is a lot of people who own or mod a w-body IMO can't afford to only drive it half a year and then park it, just to drive a winter beater. Let alone the cost of insurance. I'm a good example, 24 year's old and I'm paying over 200 dollar's a month on my SS and that's after shopping around. With a clean driving recored aside from a 5 mph over ticket I recived in Ohio a few year's ago.

i'd get a GT and boost it ;) AWESOME IDEA

and already has the 3.29 gear

and the transmissions are usually in better shape with less power, and the bodys are always better in most cases.

no offense guy, but when LS is mentioned people arent typicly thinking bout trail blazers :th_laugh-lol3:, i do agree with everything else though... im paying 300 a month on the gtp alone, that the only reason i havent got an f body
