What all did you order? Just the single HID kit for your headlamp, the 9007 for the factory lamp? Did you get the (hi/low) option? I am curious because this is what i was thinking about doing soon. Let me know what you think.
HID's worth it? Hi/low/fog necessary? Good brands, with good prices?

35w (i heard 55w will melt things)
9007 (not hi/lo)
8000K (not sure if this is the actual color it got, its not very blue. im thinking i got 6000k but they are still sweet)
the hi/lo i think is just that there is a halogen high beam, but dont quote me on that. right now, i dont have high beams, when i switch to high beams, they just turn off.
i also ordered a relay harness off ebay from zzp

the relay basically supplies the power straight from the battery, so you get constant power and you dont risk melting the stock wiring. plus its only $10, so why wouldnt you get them? some people run them fine without a harness though. if you decide to get these, hit me up with a pm and id help you try to figure out how to wire them up, since the instructions they come with dont tell you crap.

mine are still "processing"... ordered last week...
you would have had to add the hi/lo option ($20 more) when your ordered it to get both hi/lo HIDs.

Yeah good choice with the 35w. Like how they turned out? Significantly brighter? I am wondering if the (hi/low) option is worth it, they said on there sight that the option is just simply something that slides the bulb forwards and backwards to aim the light differently, not sure how i feel about that. Let me know what you think of that relay harness, im also wondering if you can hook up multiple HID's ( I was thinking fogs) to the same harness...
I'm with you bro. I feel tha same way. It's time for everyone to go to HID. It's just that much better for everyone behind the steering wheel going in BOTH directions.i think a lot of people go with Xenon light Hid kit Hid light Hid headlights Bulbs Ballasts Car parts 's HID kits. i just got a cheap $50 ebay set and a $10 harness and i was good to go...i will never have a car without HID's ever again. NEVER (unless they make something better).
I would say to stay in the lower Kelvin numbers. I found 6000K is great with a hint of blue and 5000K with mostly white but are about as bright as you can get and stay to the blue side of the spectrum. I use 5000K in my fog lights. You will find a slight delay because of the igniter when you switch to high beams, but I drive long stretches with high beams on. Again 6000K is just right. At least for me. One of the best upgrades you can do to your car...period. Worth it? You bet. Most of the bulbs are made by Sylvania and marketed via China under other labels. Where you can get boned is in the ballast. PM me and I will give you the address to buy direct from China. They get here in 7-10 days! and you beat all the BS. These are the ones that everyone buys and puts in other packaging. Top of the line. 30 minute install in most cases.
If your lights look nice and steady, SAVE YOUR MONEY and time.
The reason for the harness is NOT because of added current draw. HID systems use less than half the power of Halogen. The reason is that many automobiles (mostly large trucks with high capacity alternators or poor voltage regulators in many imports) don't provide a nice constant regulated 13.8 volts through the wiring harness. The idea of going directly to the battery is to get a much more constant voltage so your lights won't "flicker".
Other than a "flicker", there's no reason to bother. You could run HID for three cars on the wires you have now.

Idk that much about hids in GPs, but I can say plenty about them in Cobalts. Are they worth it? Absolutely. They look 10x better, and allow you to see the road like never before.

I think I might need to install my HID harness because my HID's from DDM are just as bright as my sylvania ultras...Only thing differn't seems to be the color :\

adding a relay harness wont make the bulbs brighter, just take the stress off your stock wiring and make them safer. It could be that the positioning of the bulb in the reflector housing is off with the elongated shape of hid bulbs and causing the light to improperly scatter, thus not shining on the road as much.

nah, I think position is fine...doesn't seem to be blinding drivings and is pretty much same output as slyvania's lol...only differnce I can tell is color lol but w/e 6K's are pretty

I was thinking about getting HID's through DDM because they are so cheap. Do you guys think it is worth it to get HID's for both the headlights and the fogs? If so should I get a harness for both sets? Also, DDM, says something about a hi/low option. Anyone ever used these particular bulbs? When installing, do I have to remove the DRL's fuse or can i keep the fuse in?

You might as well get hids for both the headlights and the fogs, if nothing else purely for matching purposes. You will need a seperate relay harness for your headlights and fog lights, along with seperate ballasts. It's a good idea to remove your DRL fuse because the DRLs run on "half" power, which play havoc with hids, weather or not you are using a relay harness.
