Rednecks like fbodies sure, they also like big ass trucks, SUV's and mustangs. You also see plenty of old guys driving vettes, and other high end sports cars they couldn't afford when they were younger. Mom's drive honda's, middle class white kids drive trucks........and so on and so on. Owning an fbody doesn't make you a redneck, anymore then owning a GTP makes you the king of original.

I voted GTP. I used to have an LT1 camaro, and loved it. In my current situation though, a GTP sedan would fill my needs more then an fbody. I already have a weekend warrior car. I'm wanting a fast/fun DD, and I think a GTP is the perfect car for that. The situation this question applies to is just as important as your preference. Eaton cars FTMFW......and my 4.6>ls1 :) I guess this makes me a diverse redneck.

LT1 > 4.6 just sayin. Unless is a dohc cobra even then I'm sick of seeing. Mustangs I counted 20 on the way to school every one has one most are beater fox bodys that don't stand a chance in an actual race...

If you see more 03/04 Cobras then you see GTP's, then I need to move where you live. I see GP's all the time, but I'm not sick of seeing GTP's because of that fact. GTP's are to GP's, what Cobra's are to Mustangs in simple terms. I see WAY more new edge (99-04) mustang v6's then any other kind of mustang, I'm jealous that you see mostly foxbodys. I wouldn't talk to much **** on them though, more then a few of them would more then likely hand you your ass.

It doesn't have to be a cobra 4.6 to > an lt1. Like oh, I don't know, maybe the mach1's 4.6?.....just sayin:th_thumbsup-wink:
 
the problem with foxbodys is most of them i see are rusted POS's. however there are 2 or 3 modded fully restored ones around here that look and sound sick as hell

and V6 mustangs are all over just like GP SEs and GTs so seeing a modded GTP or modded higher end V8 stang is rare but usually nice (aside from the disease where BIG wings make everything fast)
 
I drove a 2000 v6 firebird dual exhaust looks like a TA but V6 and I thought the whole car and the nose of the car to me made it feel huge.. I'm def sure I'd love the power of the v8 but I def like driving the gp better.. But def the TA looks BA.. But my vote still with gtp..

Ive raced many fox bodys and only lost a few times

Around here it isnt cobras i see its mostly v6's or rusted out ****box v8's with flows I have a car powered with a 4.6 BUT for the money and power Il take a lt1 over any 4.6 other then a s/c'd dohc 4.6
And you can say mods on a 4.6 will smoke me but Id be modded too
Most mustang guys have the mentality that mustang is top dog and blah blah blah its annoying even after spanking a foxbody,newer gen stang and so on they still talk crap Its funny as hell

There will always be a divide of opinions But I have owned mustangs and fbodys and so on Ill stay on the chevy side until i like a mustang better

I have no brand loyalty i drive what i like
 
I hate how half the threads on the forum turn into people talking about mustangs.

Well, I hope you're not taking anything I say wrong. I'm not trying to talk **** to you. LOL at mustangs being top dog, far from the truth IMO. Like I said ford only made a few good ones. The only 4.6 i would take over an LT1 is a 4v. Supercharged or not, the mach1 competes hard with ls1's mod for mod until you start getting into cams. As far as foxbody stangs go, i guess I've seen enough street-able 10 sec fox's to have obtained a healthy respect for them.


Anyway....F*** mustangs and an fbody, rock a wbody B****es.
 
problem with modular motors is they cost a arm and leg to build I dont hate i just get annoyed and no i hear what your saying... Just have had great experiances with lt1's

Yeah someone compared my 94 GTP to a mustang. Compare it to a Grand Am if one must but not a G.D. ford!

I, for one, cannot look at a mustang without remembering it IS a ford, which is my least favorite car. Own a ford, transmission problems will ensue.
 
I would take a newer ford over a new chevy any day of the week, Fords been kicking ass lately and im a chevy guy, and im sick of seeing these pathetic ugly cars coming out from gm.
 
Ford has stepped up there game The only fords ive had with trans issues have been taurus basically any model from 90-2000

there are a few fords i would own. I would have to drive a new mustang and camaro and make my choice off that. i like the new camaro but i have since i saw the mock up design like 7 years ago in can and driver. but i know the new mutang weight balance is a bit better

lol because gm has perfect trannys, that's why i have a broken forward band in my GTP and a blown tranny in my Trans Am.


not defending ford just saying tranny problems happen to any brand
