Window Tint.

I tinted my back two windows of the coupe yesterday. Looks pretty good with 5% on them. I'm not brave enough for the back window, plus i only wanted the side done. Once i order my power window regulator, i'm gonna just go ahead and pay someone to at least do the back.

Anyone else got their windows tinted? Pics? and any DIY tint jobs out there?

show pics of your car. most DIY tint jobs i have seen suck a lot.

i had mine professionally tinted 15% all around and it looked fantastic.

unless you have done it many times Id go professional all the way I have yet to see a good diy job that lasted
plus its just not that expensive to have done

also, you cant buy the good tint that shops use. tint will only last if its a high metallic brand like llumar.

yea i played with some tint on my olds neon just for sh1ts and giggles it didnt look bad but I was using stuff from my buddys shop
so im sure that has a lot to do with it

well i've learned alot with the DIY window tint. one of the main things is to NOT use windex. only wipe it with the soapy water or tint safe glass cleaner such as Invisible Glass.

I''ll have pics of mine tommorrow. I did muff it up in one spot on the pass side at the bottom, and a small spot on the drivers side, but it still looks good. it does show the dots around the edges and such, but its only a temp job till i get my pass window motor. I got the tint for 6 bucks off my buddy cause he decided not to do his truck.

ive got 5% on all my back windows, 25% on the front windows, and a 6 inch brow. all proffesionally done. it looks really good, dont do it yourself unless you actually know wtf your doing, every DIY tint has bubbles and is peeling in the corners. dont be cheap.

Well its only DIY until i get the window regulator in. I've got wheel bearings going on this week, then the window regulator the next.

Then i'm onto the tint shop

MrPhotographer doesnt take pictures of results? :th_shakinghead2:

you can see where some dirt got on it from where i had to stick it to the outside window for a second..

lil brother took this one.. you can see where the tint got cut, and i fixed it, all you see is the triangle outline not bad for a diy.

i got 20% all around professionally and its warrentied for lifetime so ANY bubbles or peeling is fixed for free, unless i did something intentional obviuosly but i dont let anyone touch the windows

i took it to best buy... biggest mistake of my life. It's been in twice since january. Gonna be getting it in again this summer, they just can't get their crap right.

i want the new G6 rims. i tried to get my uncle to trade but he's not taking that deal, and neither will my dad for his alero rims. :th_laugh-lol2:
