Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Re: WTB : Replacement door lite trim (for a house door)

oh no you dont!!!!!!! New Jersey is the fuking armpit. we all know its true. lol

Re: WTB : Replacement door lite trim (for a house door)

For $200 you can replace that 38yo door with a brand new one!

Re: WTB : Replacement door lite trim (for a house door)

Your jamb, threshold, seals and sweep, let alone hinges(which look painted) have to be damn near perfect to be doing that kind of cpr.

I guess it will look pretty with that window, but so would a 6 panel with a peep hole.

It's my front door, don't get much company, it can go unused for months. Our driveway leads to garage / walkout basement, so that's primary entry. Peepholes are for apartments in shady neighborhoods...lol.

Re: WTB : Replacement door lite trim (for a house door)

Paint it like your siding, then order pizza and tell them to go to the front door:th_laugh-lol2:

Re: WTB : Replacement door lite trim (for a house door)

No peep hole save 3 dollars.
Well i hope it lasts another 35 years Mr sentimental.
You better use a grinder with metal blade to cut it, or cut off wheel

Re: WTB : Replacement door lite trim (for a house door)

I cut/connected the 2 window openings to make 1 rectangle. I bought this replacement to fit without widening the opening I got by just removing the door from between the old windows. It's called a 1/4 lite. 4 quick cuts ( 2 inside & 2 outside, then punch out the foam, and clean up around the opening ) with a Lennox diamond encrusted wheel, that I got free as a sample.

I hope this can help someone, or at least give you guys/gals some ideas. It doesn't always have to be "Rip it out,, get a new one.." Since I wasn't pressed for time on this project, I was willing to do some research, bounce some ideas around, etc. until I wound up with a pretty simple and reasonably priced swap. I think it beats getting a new door here and installed. No, it's not "showroom perfect" , but we're happy. Happy Wife = happy life. Don't you see? .........It's good for me...............E.

Re: WTB : Replacement door lite trim (for a house door)

You are such a weirdo but I'll admit, it does look nice. You should replace your back window in the car with one of those, Mr Diamondbit.

Re: WTB : Replacement door lite trim (for a house door)

Paint job turned out OK too .............
