• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

Thats what I was saying.

When NEXT jumped on here to say he sold his car it made me curious to check over there. He was a staple there.
After Flip flipped he gave it over to Dustin but wouldn't give him the .com domain, hence the info.
He PMed Dustin but no response.

Sucks .... there was a ho slew of good stuff under the blankets

That, and especially on classic rock they will assume you want live versions of everything. Played by 70 year olds! The ads are actually more frequent, longer and every bit as repetitive as local stations. When I want Hank, that ain't Johnny Cash's live collection. What a joke! They do the live version thing mercilessly on metal. Who wants that?

I thumb down every live version I hear. I have about 20 Pandora stations so I can flip when the music isn't just perfect for my mood. I go by artist so if I'm feeling more along the lines of one than another I will swap stations. Thumbprint radio is nice because it only plays the songs you've liked.

Ads have gotten pretty ridiculous there though. I've had bouts of ads between every song. Sometimes two between songs. And I've heard the same "listen to this mother you drink and drive we all lose" ad six times in a row on there. I'm pretty sure the whole idea behind Pandora and all those other apps was to lessen commercial load and allow you to play the music you like. YouTube has gotten pretty sickening too with ads. And data use. But you can pay -insert astronomical monthly rate here- and get background play capability, play just sound, and no ads. I get that they have to make money to keep running but where does it stop? 45 second ad you can't skip to watch a 15 second exhaust clip?
That's why I downloaded all of my music (the legal way, surprisingly enough) and put it on a flash drive, one with the micro usb connector built in...

Phone + flash drive = awesome.

And

Car + flash drive = awesome.
I don't want to spend money on all the music I listen to. That crap gets expensive. I could buy whole albums to save money but there's songs I'd probably never listen to, buying track by track is even worse, and I listen to so many different albums and artists in so many genres that I could effectively spend a thousand dollars and still not have half the crap I want.

I've got my 300+ songs that I'll always like, if I need something different the radio stations around here aren't TOO bad. lol

I learned a long time ago, there's very little new music that is actually good. maybe 1-2 songs out of each album, and if you can put 250 songs on shuffle, you wont hear the same one twice within any normal amount of driving. It did take me a few years to collect all of that music, but I didn't mind.

I'll be buying a few new CD's in the coming months/weeks. Looking to buy the new Of Mice next month and Men, Korn in October, Metallica in November, and I think I heard of a few more. I bought the new Rob Zombie a month or so ago.

Damn, I've got over 20,000 songs, 1,200 TV shows, and 700+ movies....on 12 TB. I felt like I was slacking, lol. Of course, I do have a very broad taste in music...cept for country.

I'm getting my stations lined out better but thumbing is a hassle. My Hank station plays nothing from this century now, and the Slayer one quit kicking out Queensryche. That Judas Priest station just refuses to pick Judas Priest though and that kills me so I end up you tube ing for that metallic scream mood.

Boobs you visiting this year or naw? Adapter is gathering dust!
