And yes I have retired my Jeagerman 2 cape! I do not forsee it coming out anytime soon ;)

Much to the disappoint of many, but I am sure there are a few of you all out there thanking God I am ;)
 


I dont really see alot of non GPs registering or posting up much. I also didnt see any Regals in the pics.

I know you guys say the event is open to all Wbodies, but I dont know if I would want to show up and not be able to participate in half of the events and still pay full price.

If I'm correct the event has "evolved" each year with it's growth. This year I believe it is open to all w-bodies for participation in the whole event. And as far as that went anyways I didn't see anyone get left out of anything they wanted to be in. Obviously, if you have an early 80s Cutlass you won't win best 97-03 GP in the car show.;):D At least from my experience in 2007, you pay for the portions you want to participate in and some are spectator or racer, etc. Regardless, you could pay the maximum amount for every part of the event and not participate in any of it and still come out with a good deal.

Like I said, great event. It will fit whatever aspect you want it to. Couples, great! Singles, cool! Families, you're fine! Freaks, you're not alone! A great event and all attitudes were left at home. Great "community" event. There was a Cutlass, Acura, Impala, Cadillac, etc. at 2007 and I have yet to hear a single unhappy attendee.
There were no Regals for the group pic and unless I don't remember correctly I don't think any attended. No matter what car you show up in you won't regret it. That's why I'm adding an extra day to our trip, enjoyed every minute I was there and this year is already looking like an increase in interest.

I agree with LowlyfeGTP.

It is open to all wbodys and although I kid about being the stepchild, no one treated me that way. All events were open for me to participate in, although as Jason mentioned, the car show and track awards didn't have catagories outside of GP's. This year is supposed to be different. Even if it wasn't I'd still go, because it is a great time with a lot of great people.

Hints the name...Branson GRAND PRIX Meet? LOL

Checked with the hotel, and they confirmed, our room is on the back. The best place, IMO, is on the back side of the hotel. I'm sure the hotel will agree, cause people sitting out in the parking lot at night, drinking, and being loud and obnoxious kinda looks bad from a business perspective.

I have heard stories about the last GPG, and how the drinking played a huge factor in the end of that event. I just don't want to see this ever happen to this event as its a good thing we got going on here. But I will be out in the parking lot with the rest of you guys this year too.

Doubt they will change the name to Branson W-Body Meet. Grand Prix being in the name has a nicer, faster, sounding name effect to me.

But anyway, more the merrier to be there. Happy to see any and all Regal, and Impala owners who share the same passion regardless. (modified or not)

hehe, I was kidding about the name change. After all of this time, I forget my car is different, when reading the mod stuff and giving my take on things.

Of course when I go out to the garage, I realize my car is different in a good way.:D

If I get drunk and wind up in the middle of the parking lot, someone just do me a favor and drag me off to the side please. :D
 


I requested to be on the front side...that way I can vegetate and watch traffic go by with the rest of the old people.
 
Sorry Lee I have to agree with Brian on that hahaha :D We had fun sitting in front of our rooms last year watching everyone especially James:rolleyes: hehe
