reading map, boost and vacuum with hp tuner

I'm trying to set up my gauges and charts to read map and boost with the hp tuner, but I'm not doing it right. there are directions in the help file, but I couldn't get it to work. is there a different guide I can read that says how to set it up?
 


Go into dropbox..find my config files and use it. Done

All you should need to do is go into the table view, choose them there and when you switch to gauges etc.. they will be there. Then you format the gauges
 


Getting the conversion to read boost is hard, I've tried a few times. Then just gave up and learned to read the KPA as boost in my head.

100 kpa is 0 psi, so anything above 100 is now boost. I'd see 140-160 kpa on avg, so roughly 6-8 lbs of boost.
 


Which they shouldn't

Are you trying to convert to Inhg and lbs or is this just you trying to get good readings that aren't 400kpa?
 
43lbs of boost eh, must be quick.

Just upload the regular MAP pid in the table display, you should be able to change the way it reads out. MAP SAE, then under units click imperial default kpa.

Agree 1000% that dhp scanner blows. Have been using uvscan, couple days ago I decided to use dhp just because. There was so many missing cells, like it just decides to stop recording a pid and then starts again a minute later. Plus it only gives a max of 3 rows per second. Uvscanner gives 7-8/sec.

How many data rows a second does hpt give?
 
the hp tuner scanner doesn't really work like that. you can take a scan and export the data into csv format like the uv scanner software, but you can also set up a gauge display, a chart that will play all the recorded data, and set up a histogram to use for tuning.

the data rate of the hp tuner is pretty good, but I'm not sure how many data rows it will do.
 
funny you say that. uvscan locks up on me 3 or 4 minutes in every damn time. tried a few versions too. all freeze up. even if im not logging.
