yeppppp, because it's a lot easier than uploading them to photobucket and what not. I get out of school at 11 so I'll post them then and will start tearing into it to find the source of the smoke.

So there's a ton of air coming from the oil filler cap, bit of oil still leaking from what looks to be the VC area, and it's missing very badly.. but it DOES run thankfully.

Seems kinda like a PCV issue, but I don't think it'd cause it to run this bad.

All cylinders checked out at 155-160 psi.. #2 was under 40...



Edit: I have however heard chipped pistons don't show up on a compression check. Coincidence the tester showed that low? That seems REALLY low to me.

Smoke, blowbye and a bad leakdown test sounds like piston rings on #2 are done.
I'd start looking for a short block if I was you...

I'd assume the chip is worse than most, and not as bad as the picture above.

Yeah gotta love those east coast cars. Almost as bad as cars from Michigan and Minnesota.

Amazing how these cars "blow up"
race the **** out of it the night before , drives home fine
wife takes it to work the next day, blows up doing 35mph in a school zone - blame wife , get new motor ;)
lol wonder if that guy ^ still posts here


anyways good luck with the build , all 13 pages so far seem spot on , glad to see the car go to someone who cares about it
