$40,000 GP!!! 1 of 1 in the world



I'd have to pass for the mere fact that I can't legally drive it on the street and I'd be stuck towing it to shows. That's a deal breaker for me.

You could move up with 40k. Mine was 39k with 11,700 on the clock. I get the heritage and all. But not with a GP. A one of a kind TA or GTO

I'm not bragging, I'm past that stage. You mentioned being fortunate and if you had the 40k you would still get it. Your contradicting yourself.

Also you can't just go out and buy a Boss 302, you have to hunt for them. Mine was 1 of 3 for sale in Texas. First time since 1970 that it was sold again. More than just a 50th pony.

I bet I could get it titled and driving on the roads here in MI. The DMV will let you drive around in a potato if you have one with wheels and a motor.

Don't tell anyone, but I was looking at 2015 Challengers the other day, but this seems way cooler.
 


Anyone who spends $40,000 on that is dumb. For one, drivetrain wise, EERYTHING is custom, have fun working on that. Second, from the sounds of it, the car isn't registered and not titled which is just more cost and time you have to put into a GP you just payed $40,000 for.

If I had $40,000 to spend on a car, it'd be on an entry level x275 car that was built to be street reliable. With $40k, you could find a setup that runs 8's, comes with extra consumable parts, and is proven.

Investment wise, it would be foolish to buy that car. Only GP's that may be worth some money are 40ths and Daytona's with low low (under 10,000) miles..... My .02

only reason to use EBay in an Original-One-of-a-Kind sale is to find the sucka who's gonna throw down $40k for it!

I don't think someone who buys a one-off concept car is going to be wrenching on it in their driveway, or really worried about having it street registered as show cars are usually trailered... This car is so far out of the realm of any Daytona or 40th it doesnt even compare. ANY concept car that's saved from the crusher will be worth a lot. Problem selling it now is GPs are everywhere, and most of them are rust buckets, which draws down their value as a whole. Give it 10 or 20 years and that car will appeal to a lot bigger market and will probably be worth a lot more too...

As an average car enthusiast, I'd pass on it. It would take a lot of money to really be able to enjoy this machine. If i won the lotto and became a legit car collector, hell yeah I'd buy it!

I was just busting your balls about the boss thats all. Ive said before im jelly of that car and dont get me wrong id drive one if i could no doubt. Point being there are way more boss 302s available than that gm show car. As for parts dont you people realize thats a frankenstein build of gm parts bin parts? The v8 in that car is nothing magical..... Gxp parts, the drive train is awd big deal think awd aztec....... Sure its not your average go to napa and pick up parts but id bet finding baer brake parts would be harder than some of the driveline parts. The body i believe is mpd molded fenders with one off hood and rear trunk lid. Still a cool car either way. As for the price tag thats to be debated.. Of course you can go faster for less like i said before the brand is dead and some people dont appreciate the heritage of the car.
 


Yes, the heritage of the FWD "muscle car".

The same reason you can't call a FWD/AWD Volvo a turbo brick. They simply aren't.
 
The heritage is in the sole fact that its a concept car. It is a rare part of gm history.

Yup what Spade said, but the Trailblazer SS isn't a car, but if you are including that in the list you could add the GMC Syclone and Typhoon to that list.
