• The site migration is complete! Hopefully everything transferred properly from the multiple decades old software we were using before. If you notice any issues please let me know, thanks! Also, I'm still working on things like chatbox, etc so hopefully those will be working in the next week or two.

finished my front bumper re paint job. came out pretty damn good once again. this is wet sanded with 1000 and buffed with the good old HF buffer.

i just need them fog lights to get here to finish the front off.

i played with the back bumper, the top got all rough feeling, so wet sanded it with 1000 and buffed it, and black was on the pad, clearly i lost the clear coat. so the top 1/2 will be getting repainted and cleared in the near future.

but i went through all the trouble of masking off the emblem and then taking the masking off while the paint was still wet and then cleared it all nice lol (thats why it pops now,,,clear coat)

and its not a turbo. i like the Indian feathers.

Jacked up the GTP and looked around... shouldn't have done that! Now I'm riding a wave of depression, theres no $ to fix anything and it needs plenty. Of course if I do throw some parts at it, somebody else will throw their car at it and I'll be at square one again :th_shakinghead2:

I'm picking stuff for my oil change and the impala's. Purolator pureone filters for sure, and either mobil 1 or valvoline synpower (10w-30) for my car. Hmm... I'm using Mobil conventional on the impala.

Also getting oil change stuff for my uncle's diesel tractor, rotella 10w-40 and a wix* filter. May do the trans fluid too, takes like 5 gallons.

thanks man. you know its just to easy to not try it out. once again, less then 50 bucks. a paint shop would want a couple hundred easy.

i know a lot of us have the missing clear coat on the bumper tops, like i did, and the fail to shine no matter how much product you use on it. 50 bucks in paint and paper and its almost new looking. i didnt go all out fixing every little scratch this time, so theres a few showing though but you have to look for them.

someone used a paint pen on 3 spots on the bumper years before i got it. i sanded them smooth and boy they are gone now lol

Looks good Scotty.......maybe step up the grit to 2500 to make the clear shine even more.....and some ultimate polish or m205 to gloss it out.

and then my old dex 3... almost took 8 quarts of dex 6

It gets parked in the garage everyday. If it is raining I drive something else. I only get the underside wet once a year when I wash it out at the car wash at the end of the summer season. I wipe all the underside down with a rag I spay with wd40. I do that to the painted bits like suspension, and rockers. Keeps the rust out. Yeah, I maybe anal or over the top, but oh well.
