Further degradation of the 3800 scene.

Supposedly he posted all the info on Facebook that he did indeed buy them from WBS and they were supposedly WBS headers.

yeah i see that, and i can see in the wbs pic that what they are most likely selling are modified pascsetters. however in the WBS pic the cross over is cut in the middle and in the original pic posted on what was received is an uncut cross over welded to the from header.
 
The first pic they are modded Chinese headers aka SD/SSACs. From what I understand they switched to that style instead of the ps style.

eh, i usually say you get what you pay for when people complain about cheapo ebay headers. If the guy really bought those from wbs as WBS' headers and paid $680 i would be pissed too. The cross over really makes me think they are not the same or that WBS needs to update their photos. I could have sworn WBS used to sell ebay headers that they welded up and fixed the leaking issues and they stated that they were fixed up ebay headers for something like $300. if thats what he bought that is what he gets, i just dont see those on the WBS site anymore.

I bought TOGs love them they work no need to move or bend anything and they installed just as easy and ported manifolds. If that guy wants to spend close to $700 bucks on headers i would suggest opening up the wallet a bit more and buying slp or togs.
 
Something that SLoW SHO has failed to tell you guys about from what I have skimmed over in this whole thread is that I removed him from the facebook group for only one reason.........
he was warned to stop accusing wbodystore or anyone else of things he had no proof of. And he openly said he would not cause he felt he was right and no one would change his mind on that. He was told that after he admitted that he knew absolutely NOTHING about wbodystore headers and has never seen them in person. But came back an accused over what is seen in pics. Sorry but that is not what one calls proof. Is it true? Maybe! But is it proof? NOPE! He then said that wbodystore was buying ebay headers in bulk and reworking them to be what people were buying. Is that true? Maybe! Is it proof? NOPE! I just could not let him say what ever he wanted to out of spite.

I said to leave it alone until we could get definite information or to get Mike himself to say what had happened cause for all we knew the guy who posted the pics of his wbodystore headers could have gotten the wrong parts. He may have had a receipt for wbodystore headers but the ones he pictured are coated and its plain to see that they are shiny and reflective. You can't order a coating on the wbodystore headers so for them to be shiny something isn't right.

I can't go off of pics cause all that shows it how they are similar. It means they could have been made the same way but it also means that they could be the SD headers that are reworked. How do we know for sure tho? We don't! So I won't let anyone attack the few vendors we have left be it ZZP, wbodystore, Intense or PRJ no matter how much they think they are right I have to stand by them. I don't let people attack groups either or forums so that **** would get them banned as well if they kept it up.

I could give 2 sh!ts if he is correct or not and I even told Nick that cause it has no affect on me but he was told to stop accusing wbodystore until we had more info and he choose the other route.

the pics are worth a million dollars. would you be happy if you spent $600 + and that set of pos headers came? they are built poorly for sure.

the quality is real bad, the design is just as bad.


im not one to side with snowflake, but this time id say hes on to something.
 
I still have yet to see the guy the packing slip lol thats what i am after. The cross over is different. No doubt the buyer got crappy parts however that maybe what he paid for. Where is mike in all this?

He just might be on to something but the point in the facebook part was that he had no proof and all I wanted him to do was wait till there was proof. Might come might not. I just could not have him tearing down a vendor with no hard evidence. He wants everyone else to do the work on finding out for sure if they are in fact what he thinks they are which is just a little odd. May be normal for Slow to do it but its not normal for most of the world. LOL! I am all for knowing what truly is out there and why it looks like something but a picture is not evidence of anything. I have never seen SD headers in my life but I bet if I built headers to make them fit a certain way in my car that they would look like someones headers that are already on the market. Would I care? NOPE!
I hope the truth comes out about them at some point cause maybe it will show it is remade or maybe it will show its not but either way at leased it would be out there.
Mike will not chime in on any forum posts but has said to me personally that if any customer with the headers has any issues or questions about them he will gladly tell his story about the headers or fix what is wrong with someones issue. He said he just could not spend his entire day worrying about what what Show is complaining about with something he has never even touched in his life. (from Show's own mouth) He would be a busy man if trying to talk to people about the cost of making things over the years.
I myself feel it should be left alone and just tell people to watch it any time you see someone talking about buying headers if you feel they are so bad cause we are running out of choices on getting parts anymore so one of these days with the way "SOME" treat any of the vendors they will no longer be there for us. Thats a sad fact.
 


dude im done with your back and fourth.....the pics of 2 members "here" both have the wbs headers, one set looks like a child built them. end of story. and the that whole down pipe choke point blows too.

theres is another thread here where a guy is asking hey, is this ok? cause those are his pics flake used for that pic up there are a members headers. looks like crap dont it? does to me. he emailed mike, mike told him those headers are fine.....do you believe that? he said they are warranted for a year, so if theres a problem send them back.....what he should have done is just sent that crap back to him and got a full refund plus his shipping returned. cause pics dont lie.



(lets take, snowfalke, slomo what ever you want to call him out of this) i ask again, if you spent $600 + for a set of headers that looked like that would you be happy? end of story.

It's not your job to protect a vendor's reputation. If a vendor ruins his own reputation and gets called out on it then that is the vendor's problem. I would rather have one less vendor, than have one who is lying and cheating.
 
into proven that there not scaming off SD just to make alot more money. will just call it what it is a scam. gtpforever if you want it left alone why are you still talking about it lol?
 
zach, if you bothered to read the first page of this thread, they are most likely buying them direct from the Chinese manufacturer which is the same manufacturer that SD/SSAC/DNA Motoring use. Why buy from SD when you can get them for $80 a piece when ordered in bulk. And from the looks of things they even use the defective ones.

No one else did the work on this Snowflake did, he was the one searching for people who had these headers asking for people to post pictures of them not someone else. If he wouldn't have been looking we might not have gotten the pics of those amazing $600 headers that you can buy from W-body store. And like I stated in that thread, those headers look like garbage compared to my SD headers, and I only paid $230 for mine including band clamps.

Hey Slick can you grab the other pictures posted by Aaron Carey in the Grand Prix GTP owners club facebook page? I know he posted up a bunch of them.
