What did you do to your Car today?

Well I decided to put new rotors and pads on my car. I successfully caught my back right rotor on fire.. I can't figure out for the life of me why these things are rubbing so bad.. Both front brakes rub and the back right won't even budge.

Thats what it appears to be.. I greased the living bejesus out of them and we'll see how they do in the morning. I really don't have the money to buy calipers for this thing.

Yeah you need new calipers. When you push them in you probably noticed they didn't move real well, and I've done brakes where I noticed but blew it off. Test drove it, and they dragged just a little when driving, got back and man that rotor was hot, could hardly turn the wheel by hand. 2 new calipers later they're working perfectly.

Cleaned up the interior. Used meguiar's leather sealer treatment on the leather seats and the upper part of the door panels. Also tried meguiar's ultimate protectant on the rest of the interior.

Victory! I greased the crap out of the calipers (looked like they had never been greased before) and they work! No rubbing and no more fire! So I have now completed my 2 day brake job. Now its time to drive across the state again.

Did you clean the slides and grease the caliper bolts??

If they keep sticking, then the caliper is froze and you need to buy new ones.

So when I asked and you said yes, you lied because..............

................... yeah.

I think he greased them last night and tested them this morning, but I guess he could have lied to you too.

Well I greased the one that caught on fire last night then I greased the fronts this morning and it worked. Sooooo technically It was true. I greased the crap out of one last night and did some more this morning lol.

most of the time the calipers slider holes need to be cleaned out real good or the old caked up grease stays in there and holds the slider pin up.

I sold the bike on account of too many dip****s that don't look for bikes while driving.

It's an auto, 120k miles. I just miss the rumble of a v8. I can't afford a G8 just too expensive at 20k+

Downside would just be the fact I trade my prix which has a body with 140k
