2005 Grand Prix GTP 80-150mph

Someone else and myself noticed that it sounds like it is pulling timing around 105mph but I never saw any KR from the aeroforce..

88*F with 96% humidity 325/302 on the dyno

Sounds like the transmission hates you more than a KR/dead spot for a tune issue.

Otherwise, if you've got that much load on it in 3rd...and it's knock free...then yeah, I wouldn't really worry about it.
 


I 110% believe the torque converter is slipping, so you are probably right. I bought a new one just waiting for it to cool off a bit outside before I go pulling the trans out..
I will be buying a mild TEP trans in the spring with an input shaft..

Most of the time there is too much TQ. Management removed...and it can only do more damage than anything good.
 


That someone else was me acid lol. But I've watched it a few more times since I mentioned the kr question and it does seen like a slipping converter just right after the shift to third
 


You are tuned with the meth right? Remember if your closed loop the meth will richen the a/f mixture and since I'm assuming you never tuned your tcc lockup and tcc lock speeds that when your tq finally locks in third momentarily that will cause a increased load and possibly go too rich for that transition.
