I wonder how much more that LS2 weighs than the stock motor...
And it only makes like 2.5X the power.

According to specs, the curb weight is 2762lbs for a BRZ in stock form. figure it with 200 lbs more for the motor, 400hp @ 2962lbs. Compared to 3500/3600 F-Body, 3100/3200 Vette, or go crazy for the new pig Maro @ 3700. I would enjoy a stock LS2 in a BRZ, I would enjoy a Cammed LS2 in one even more. :th_thumbsup-wink:
 
Obviously it's gonna make a lot more power. I'm speaking more along the lines of the handling aspect. That car is supposed to handle well and be really fun to drive(miata, anyone?) and adding an extra 200lbs to the front end is gonna throw off the weight distribution and ultimately its handling.

I'm not saying that I wouldn't ****ing love to own a br-z with an LS2, but it takes away from the spirit of the car.
