Got this gp se from my friends dad, it has been sitting for about 2 years, it has the 3.4L TDOHC, After sitting I put a new battery in it, and it started! The front is messed up because my friend was driving it, he pulled out in front of some one and they hit the fender. Me and my Dad have been working on the front end and I will post more of the work later on today!!!!!

I'm sure he means Twin Dual Overhead Cam. I think the fact that the early plastic covers said Twin Dual Cams throws people off. In reality, it should just be referred to as DOHC (as the later covers said).....unless he turbos it. Then TDOHC is acceptable. :p

Nice pick-up. One of my favorite colors for the early Gen 5s. It's almost like the medium gulf blue on the Gen 6 GPs, or the stryker blue used on the G8s. Looks like she's going to need a fair amount of work, though. Hope you get her up and running again. :th_thumbsup-wink:

Thanks man, I plan to get the body fixed! I drove it 3 miles to my house and it ran good for sitting for 2 years, The oil does need changed and their is a little bit of metal in it but I hope after I change that its good!

too bad there really isnt any aftermarket for them.

Yeah, it will be a good dd, and if the 3.4 is messed up I kindof wanna do a 3800 swap, i think it would be badAZZ
 


Any of you pregen guys know how to take a door off? Like wireing, is like on plug of do i have to take the door pannel off and unhook all the wires?

Well I have an 02 and mine aren't like that. There is a blue connector just past the boot when it's on the car.

We have ton of the early Wbody in our junk yards. That would be easy project for parts.

I did 3800 L27 swap in mine and kept the DOHC 4t60e with 3:43 FDR. I get 26-28 mpg .
