I'm not sure why, the only thing I can thing is that the hats were a little out causeing some misalignment and rubbing. I made sure the hays were on right and shorter springs should help.

After I get some modified mounts, maybe this week, she'll be back on the ground this weekend. Then off the Michigan/Indiana for a month before I can enjoy the car.

I'm fvcking thwarted again. I thought that the mounts I had would work for seating the spring but they're to big. Got to figure something else out.

Thought it'd be worth mentioning tire rack still has the koni Taurus sho strut cartridges. Sick build though that's whats holding me up doing my coilovers

I got the top mounts fabbed. I found out that the Summit springs I was using just for mockup are a little bigger than the Eibachs I have now which fit perfect. I need to trim the fender liners and yes the back will be coming down to. I have the parts, just no time. I'll be in Michigan and Indiana for the next 5 weeks.

Welp, I got to do some massaging in a few places. If I could've pushed the strut higher into the mount I would've but the top is already about to make contact with the hood. Space the hood? I also need to trim the ring where the spring seats.

i see no issue with a spaced up hood. it'll keep it a little cooler under there, as well.

I just thought does anyone know where the hood would make contact wit the top of the strut? Is it on the sheet metal or on the framing for it? I'm thinking it its on the framing then I could drill two small holes...

JDM style. When there is purpose I think its ok, heat extraction and lift to fit is perfectly acceptable.

I had to poke 2 small holes in my hood for the coils. I'll take some pictures of where in a sec. This is looking real good though

Heres where the holes had to go. The driver side actually didnt need a hole so i just bent it a little with a nail set.

Sweet, that's just what I needed. I wish I wasn't up here in Michigan. I hate Walmart with a passion and that's about the only place to get some food in this little town.

Walmart isn't so bad. If its a super one the deli has some okay stuff. And every now and then for lunch I'll go pick up some lunchables. The pizza ones never get old to me.

I hate them. Quality sucks, dirty, and the customer service is terrible. We have stores called Publix down here that are the complete opposite of Walmart, their stuff is awesome.

low car problems, heh. i don't even notice the scraping sounds anymore and anyone "new" to my car freaks out.

I'm wanting 18s now.

The tires rub on the fender liners, not at all on the fender. My mom picked up my car at my place and was telling me my car makes funny sounds now lol
