well.. then explain why with a 3.8 and stock manis people see 7-8PSI and with a 3.5 and Headers they see 7-8psi... Sounds to me like you have improved flow....

My 04 was hitting over 13psi on the stock pulley when I first got it running. I pulled out the stock DP and put in a 3" catless DP, and boost dropped to about 6 in the middle of winter. By your logic, that means a DP is the best mod you can do to these cars.
Well I will use your logic here then and say... What was the air temp and barometric pressure when you hit 13psi and when you hit 6? Were they at the same elevation? I am not trying to bust your balls here... I am simply saying that telling me that headers are no better then stock manifolds, I find it hard to believe...
Wow someone got butthurt... Suck to maintain... Hum.. Ok.. I guess.. IF you dont install them properly maybe...

Excuse us if we don't take the word of someone that installed his first set of headers a couple months ago, vs a couple guys that have been installing and running all kinds of different headers for years.

Point of fact it was a couple of weeks ago. And that is not the point.. I know LOTS of people with headers that have 0 issues with them. THAT was my point.
I get your point... And trust me I fully understand it.. But even take my car for example. I recently went from stock manis and stock pulley to Speed Daddy headers and a 3.4. I mild weather (meaning 60-70* not super humid and at the same locations) I went from 8.5 PSI at the stock shift points to only about 9 psi at the stock shift point... So I have obviously improved flow. I am not saying that some cars can't do a 3.4 on a PLOG or even ported Manis. I am just saying that headers will flow better, and are better to have for longer term modding.

how exactly did I prove your point?? I dropped .4" off my pulley yet my boost level BARELY changed...
Prolly not... 10 years dont mean it is too late to learn to install headers so they dont leak....:th_thumbsup-wink:
