Bizarre issue with key fob (Tried ALL obvious fixes)

Hi all,

I'm experiencing a strange issue with my key fob and would appreciate any advice.

Problem:
Trunk release key fob button almost always works, horn/panic key fob button almost always works, but unlock/lock buttons barely ever work, with the lock working about 1 in 15 times and unlock working about 1 in 60 times.

What I've tried:
-brand new correct CR2032 battery
-clean key fob contacts
-tried different key fob altogether
-reprogrammed key fob(s)

Just to make extra sure it wasn't my fobs, I took them to both an Advance auto and a GM dealership and used their RF detectors to show that the unlock and lock buttons DO, in fact, reliably generate the correct signal every time they are pressed. Additionally, they are the two buttons used during programming, which also succeeds 100% of the time.

I'm confused! Seems it's not the fob, or the receiver (because programming and the trunk work reliably). Intermittent body computer issue?

Your keyless entry receiver is probably going. That happened to my GP about a year ago. It started happening occasionally and then eventually everything stopped working. Now my trunks and locks work once in a blue moon.
