just put in a new upstream 02 sensor and the harness. it threw the p0420 code after my header install, and i also just put on an o2 emulator.

so why's it still saying p0420? is there a cycle time for reset, or should it already identify the o2 sensor and emulator and eliminate the ses light?

it's only been 30 minutes and i disconnected the battery to reset everything but it's still on.

    Read this:

    http://www.grandprixforums.net/remov...know-7092.html

Your 02 GTP will run a catalyst efficiency test. With an O2 emulator, there will not be the proper response from the O2 when the test is run so it will throw the code. You need to have the rear O2 sensor plugged in and set to not report with a tuner.

it went off a few minutes after the next drive i took. should have jus been patient. guessing there is a cycle time cuz after installing headers the p0420 did show for about the same time it took to turn off.

    thanks for the speedy replies!
