Water in the floorboard that NOT so permanent fix

So I have been getting water in my passenger side floor board every since it has started raining outside recently. So I read the write up and purchased the deflector for about $4 from my local dealership, and ditched the old rubber piece. Unfortunately the car still leaks right through the blower motor. I honestly do not know how my blower motor still works because it had about a gallon of water in it. I took everything out and poured water in the cowl area to see if I could find the leak and I got nothing. Later that day I put everything back and everytime I take a left turn a small amount of water still ends up coming into the blower motor. I would assume it would be the seal. BTW I have no idea where a cabin air filter would be either SO any SUGGESTIONS would be awesome just chime in.
 


First thing to do is determine what kind of water it is, coolant? rain water?
If the deflector is installed correclty, I don't know how it could leak, somthing you might want to check. I did the deflector in my car as soon as I noticed fresh clean water under my floor matt, passager side, have not had water since the install, and have driven through good rains too, so I know it works.
As far as the cabin filter, I think the cars that had the filter have a 2 piece cowl cover for easy access, as opposed to the cars that do not have it, like my 2000 GTP with the big one piece cover.
It won't hurt to give the install a check to make sure the deflector has not moved out of it's proper position.

It's rain water for sure. I am starting to believe I have a bigger problem because the car did the same the and the rubber bulb seal was still in place when I removed it. I believe after a good rain I got rain in the blower motor after taking left turns only. No idea what to do at this point but to clear silicone all around that.
 
lol great, i got the same problem. I took my car in to get the sounds system hooked up, and they said that i had a bunch of water underneath the floormat on the passenger side
 
I notice this is a common problem with the GP's I have had my 2003 SE for almost 6 months now and not had the issue. But I also park my car in the garage every night, and under an overpass in my parking lot when I am at work.
 
Turns out you have to take out the rubber boot on the a/c evap. It's located on the passenger side. The boots tend to clog, mine was fine but after further investigation it was clogged inside the pipe. After I fixed it a gallon of water went all over the pavement.
 


Right, there are two things to do here.

1 - Remove cowl at bottom of windshield and RTV seal back in place after crimping channel in the weather stripping back closed.

2 - Straight down from the alt is the L shaped tube that just presses onto a pipe extending from the firewall. Remove it and clean it out.

No more leaks.
 
do you havea sunroof? if so have you checked the drain?
also hows the seal around your doors and windshield look?
 
my buddy had this problem last week took it in ,was a vent line on blower was plugged, cost him 50.00 to have it blown out

Most cars didn't include a cabin air filter from the factory. You can install one. There is no noticeable drop in the amount of air coming out of the vents. When installing, you need to bend it in half to fit it in there. The filter is made to bend in half.
 


i had this problem, i took it to the mechanic who took apart the whole dash and everything, he claims there wasnt a good seal around my windshield
