300M Input Shaft on Ebay for under $100!

eBay Motors: Powerglide Transmission, 300M Turbo Spline Input Shaft (item 150340943788 end time Apr-29-09 18:26:49 PDT)

Seems a little cheap for 300M but people are buying them like crazy. I have messaged several of the people who have purchased them and 2 have replied back. One said he hasn't attempted to install it yet but he will let me know how it works when he tries. The other said his "transmaster" builder is building a trans for him and recommended using this Input Shaft.

I'm not sure if the splines will fit our model but it says "universal." Obviously take that with a grain of salt. Either way if it works thats a steal for 300M.

I may pass and just pay ZZP their $500 for one because for something that will probably take the bulk of the stress in our trans, might not want to go ebay on it.

Any opinions? Experiences? Don't just bash it because it's ebay! Explain why you would or would not purchase it.

It looks like an input shaft for a powerglide. I think that the input shaft for the 4t65 goes directly to the chain and this one run states that it "can be used with any planetary gear setup" which leads me to believe that its for RWD trans only.

That's not going to work in our transmissions. Way too long... Here is a 4T65E input shaft:

yea... just realized it is for a RWD trans....

I didn't realize there was Vasco, 4340, and 300M... but apparently 300M is pretty cheap and not much better or even worse than 4340?

Can somebody explain please?
