2000 Grand Prix Bose wiring diagram, woofers work, 6x9's not turning on

All the wires are hooked up correctly, I have the pink radio on wired in as well so that the amp turns on. RF LF RR LR +/- are all wired in correctly to the head unit. The amp turns on and the 4" deck woofers and the 5 1/4" door speakers work fine but the 6x9's will not turn on and I don't understand why.

This is a wiring diagram for the grand prix w/ bose 2000PontiacGrandPrixRadioWithAmp.pdf (download)

I won't wire anything extra in, I've read that it can be done by just wiring the pink radio on wire in. Before the aftermarket head unit, the 6x9 speakers worked.

Sounds like the 6x9s are done for, if it was an issue with the head unit or the amp none of the speakers would work I am pretty sure. And yes you just hook the turn on lead to the pink wire in the factory harness.

I will look into that. The other thing is that the system sounds better when I fade the head unit completely to the front & even with this setting, the woofers stay on.

Technically, I don't know why it doesn't work, maybe someone can explain, but I read on smd forums that you indeed need the pac-oem1 to link the bose amplifier correctly with the stock sound system. The wiring doesn't look any more complicated than a typical stereo install.
