Cooling System Help

I recently did a head gasket replacement, now I have an issue with my cooling system pulling a vacuum. Replaced the rad. hoses, new thermostat, new temp. sending unit. The Temp. gauge reads hot, but the fans will cut on/off as though it's not really that hot. As long as there is gas being applied, the cooling system circulates, but when it goes back to idling, the hoses are collapsed. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Replace your radiator cap. I had this problem 2 months ago and put a new cap on it no problem since.

I'll try getting a new radiator cap today. If something that simple fixes it, I'm going to have a fit.

EDIT: I got a new radiator cap today, and that seems to have fixed my collapsing hose issue, however the temp. gauge inside the car still shoots up like a rocket. That being said, the fans still don't kick on instantly, so I'm assuming I picked up a bad sending unit. Does anyone have a set of exact numbers as far as Ohm readings I could pick up off of the sensor? I'm almost to the point of pulling my hair out... what's left of it anyways.

I've bled the air out, that's why I'm thinking it's a bad sending unit. I'll get it figured out before the end of the week, just started a second job (gotta' be able to afford all the mods I've been pondering) so I'll have to make the time...

hoses collapsing means there is air in the system. liquid can not compress leave the rad cap off over night and come back in the morning. the level will have gone down,, just top off the coolant

have you flush the radiator yet.. i just went thru this.. i pulled my plug nothing came out.. had to use the airgun to blow out the plug.... hose's was clasping.. i put new rad cap and water pump
