Spacing lower engine motor mount...

I have the Napa solid lower mounts. My motor mount is appearantly shorter because the engine is a little crooked. I heard of guys spacing them out to fit right. Whats the best way to do this? I have a cherry picker, will I be able to lift the motor up enough to insert washers on top of the mount? Or will I have to screw with the subframe too? If thats the case, could I lift the motor up enough to insert fender shims to align the motor?

You know, Im glad you posted this, cause I have new lower motor mount in my car as well and during the disassembly I kept looking at it and could swear it look tilted some to the passenger side. I guess I wasnt imagining things.

Now what are you guys using for spacers?
 
With mine, I was able to loosen the tranny mount, remove the nuts from the top of the engine mount studs, and jack up the engine on the passenger side enough to slide in 2 washers. The washers I used had a 5/8" hole through the middle, 2" OD, and ¼" thick. They worked great, but I could use about an 1/8" more after everything settled in. 3/8" was just about right for me.
 
Back from the dead....I noticed when I put my new solid mounts and half set of spacers in, my car seems tilted to the passenger side. Where I can really notice it is when I am looking at the downpipe which seems to be over too far because the rubber hangers are super tight on one side and not at all on the other.

How many people are having these issues?
