First mod today!

hey guys i just put in my first mod on my GT. I went and made my self a home made intake.

I just ran some PVC from the stock piece to a cone filter. Sounds mean:). but anyway should i be fine with the PVC or will it not withstand the heat of being in the engine bay?

And at the correct direction too...when air hits that stupid rubber elbow it goes everywhere in all bunch of directions...with a straight piece...one direction...correct flowing air.
