ya dude. freaked me out. all i have is the TDC intake and a 2.5inch exhaust after the stock DP, ubend delete with now mufflers. and then just the tune i got. he did some math and i think at the crank it was 256hp and 352tq. not at the wheels but still cool to know.
Clints a great guy too, very helpful with everything and did a great tune.
You're welcome nick !
Yea his car performs well for the mods he has. That tq, some of that is the tq converter manipulation. But he's got a stock tq converter so it didn't help all that much. I was happy with his numbers, Get a smaller pulley and we will do some more tuning. Even e85 if you like. Or perhaps that meth kit I was talkin to you about
take care. Clint
oh heck ya, i think ill do the smaller pully with the meth kit, and some roller rockers. I went to snow and looked at there meth kits, im not sure what im lookin at so ill probably need your help picking the righ kit.
thanks again clint
I know reverse calculating the numbers is an inexact science, but those numbers sound way too high.
You would have picked up 16hp, which isn't too unreal, but you would have picked up 72 ft-lbs of torque over stock. As it stands your wheel torque is right at the stock crank torque while your WHP is 36 under stock crank HP.
I am certainly not knocking Clint in any way, but something just isn't quite right about the numbers.
As far as meth kit, if I were doing it, I would go with an intercooler. There are people who got the M90 and meth to work together and run very well, but these same people were much happier with their IC they put in later. There is nothing wrong with meth (I run it) but people have found the IC to be much better on an M90. The drawback to the IC is cost.
If you want to do the meth right, tap the LIM on both sides and run two nozzles.

Good luck and enjoy the mod bug.
yeah i dont think its that high, he said him self that its just an estimate, relistictly he said its a litte over 300. but i just like the sound of 350+torque. lol
but yeah, the money for the IC is whats stopping me, i could go for the SSIC but everyones told me it just gets heatsoaked and is useless and i dont have 1200$ to throw at a full sized IC.
i can easily tell better gas milage, since i was running a bit rich i can see why. definatly more power in the lower RPMs and with the higher rev limit alot more high end power. but the best thing id say is the shifting, clint changed the shift points just a bit and the car feels like its brand new, it shifts alot smoother.
Clint, I sent you a PM.
Well im sure it depends on how the car runs before the tune. but mine ran rich in lower RPMS. so i did get better daily driving milage. It averages about 21, all city. but with the sale, im gonna post it on craigslist here soon. i should be getting a loan for my new car by atleast monday so we will see what happens
did you get a before MPG?
I don't know if you found a car to get, but I was on carmax's website lookin up the M5 I test drove (not to buy, just for lunch time fun). I put in corvette and found this:
It's a black 01 Z06 6 speedwith 61k for $20,599. It's in Oklahoma, but you can have it delivered to Colorado Springs for $400. So your retail price would be $20,999. NOT BAD! ...they do financing, and I've bought a car through them and did the financing over the phone. So you could call them and find out in a matter of minutes if they'll be able to finance you!!
2001 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 in Oklahoma City, OK- 5927720 at carmax.com
before it was about 17ish, then i got the exhaust done and i got about 18 then with the tune and intake i got about 21.
but no, i did find me a car. a 1979 trans am 455
