I'm looking for a transmission for a 2000 Grand Prix NA 3.8 located near Grand Rapids, MI. The overdrive is currently not working on mine and looking to replace it.

why not just fix it?
lol fix it in the car threw the wheel well
Yup, there's a transmission shop a buddy and I go to that do the work for $400 -we provide hardened 4th gear hub, filter and fluid.... shift solenoids if we want.
Comes out to be a ~$525 (without solenoids), which is $100 more than just labor on swapping the trans out at the cheapest shop around.... transmission, fluids, seals, filter, etc... are on top of that..
Anybody have a few good pictures of this repair being done while transmission still in the car just lowered? I want to see what I would be getting myself into attempting this. I just put a new motor in wish I would have know the overdrive did not work.....
i have a few from when i replaced the drive chain, the trans was out of the car tho
Any pics in or out of the car would be great. Thanks!
I was just under the car and the factory lift points are too rusted to put jack stands (looks like they crushed a bit from someone putting a jack there already). Wondering if this would even be safe to do without a lift.
