He's just upset because his deal for the vs cam feel through because the op thought something was off.... I thought that sounded harsh at the time, but I'm thinking he might have been on to something...

What's the fuss over the vs cams anyhow? Wouldn't you be better with a more aggressive cam for the money? I'm interested to know

it's cheaper to run a VS cam. don't need all the supporting mods like a double roller timing chain or even upgraded valve springs.

Interesting, but isn't the reason that you don't have to do other mods that it's less aggressive on timing and lift? I mean, if I'm going to have to tune it anyhow and rip half the engine apart, I might as well do the supporting mods and get more power right?

Idk. I'm still learning this stuff. Interested to know.

Depends on what the person wants really, there is always a balance between max power and being street able. Everyone balances those desires differently.

    Overkill BBC FTW!

Lol... Seriously sweet cam on 1.8YT RR's and those Rhodes lifters! ; )

Never understood the VS Cam when is only a slight upgrade when doing all that work to install it, might as well add a thing or two and get better HP for the $. But hey, to each his own, right?
Overkill BBC Cam, YT 1.8 RR's, Rhodes Lifters, STGII Heads, GenV, Pacesetters, 3" Exh to Tips, TEP Trans. N*, ID 75# injectors/E85 coming soon

I did the vs cam with stage 3 heads and 1.7 rockers and it was fun, power right away. Did the xp with regular heads it was fun all around but not the same as the vs. did the is3 came with the stage 3 heads and that was awesome, sounded and drove like a beast.

For a dd a vs cam is great, xp is fun but I’d prefer the vs for my daily commute.

I have to say for my DD the VS cam is fantastic. Can't tell I have a cam listening to the exhaust or idle. Idles like stock. Drives likes stock. Goes slow like stock.. J/k. LOL. I think the VS cam has its place for a mild DD setup. I like mine.

You are a brave man. My previous posts were ridiculed. It was cockpit trouble with site, 100% my fault. My apologies for causing a firestorm. I am interested in your VS cam. Price, how many miles does it have, and no dings in lobe or bearing area and when is it available?
