Can you post a pic of the mirror so I can see the color? There were a few GXP's at the jyard today and one was a red color. Not sure what the price would be though, incl. shipping.
Ok, well def. not the same color I saw, but there were quite a few out there. Wonder if any 04+ mirror will work on the GXP.
I believe any 04-08 would fit, but I would like to match it for my own vanity.
I hear you on the exact match. Much easier to swap out. Did that on my 00 GT. Can you give me the paint code and year?
Found a can of touch up paint with a faint number. It's an 06 and the paint number is WA946L Cobalt red.
Ok thanks, I'll see what I can come up with.
Here is a cross reference for the paint code:
GM code WA946L - red
This red automotive paint color is most commonly known as Cobalt Red. Another common paint color promotional name is Precision Red. The color formulation has been used between 2005 and 2008, primarily by Chevrolet; but also by Pontiac, GM, and Buick. We have records of this color appearing on the following models: Chevrolet, Impala, Grand Prix, Monte Carlo, Pontiac, G6, Allure, LaCrosse, Corvette, and Buick. See the full detailed list below.
GM paint manufacturing codes come in two forms, the short 1 to 3 digit model/year code which changes frequently; and beginning in the 1960's a longer 4 digit code which starts with the letters "WA" or "WE". Sometimes called "Fisher Paint codes"; codes beginning with WA are production paints, WE are commercial or special order paints with codes typically starting with '5' (i.e. WE5xxx). Starting in 1994, GM began using a letter as the last digit for all new WA paint codes.
Variations of the exterior paint code WA946L, which may appear on body data tags include: 946L, U946L, and L946L (the prefix U for upper body, or L for lower body). Location of the GM paint code plate varies depending on the year and model of the vehicle common places are on the top or near the top of the back engine compartment shroud panel just behind the steering wheel, hinge pillar of the driver's side door, trunk or rear hatch, side of door, glove compartment, or behind the driver's seat. Check for either the short year/make/model paint code or the longer manufacturing (Fisher) paint code
