I have a silver coupe and someone suggested painting it black. I am not opposed but i would like some other opinions. Thanks!

Eww.. If the car is silver paint it silver.. Black just makes it look like a accident victim. If anything maybe add black accents to it depending on the hood.

Leave it silver, IMO. The only two legit reasons in my mind, for doing that is to reduce glare with flat black or if the hood is bare carbon fiber, to let it show. Remember whatever you do is gonna get pounded by rock chips like all GPs do.
All Grand Prix, all the time. 69 Model J, 99 GT & GTP coupes. All junk, haha.

You could always do GTX style stripes.
    Or something like this.

I might do the stripes! Do you know how big the stripes are?

Used to be a place you could buy the stripes... Not sure it's still available. Might be worth a Google shot
