Hi!, Im doing some rust work on my daughters '97 GTP. Cars in great shape otherwise but the rockers are shot and a few other areas I need to attend too underneath the rear section of the car. Is there any resource for rocker repair panels ? It appears that origionally they are all one piece with the side pillars so I know it wont do much good to go to GM for those, too much money.

Thanks, I'll have to contact them. Notice it shows no inventory nor a price, so thats not encouraging. Also this is a 4dr but Im suspecting that makes no difference with the lower portion of the panel that I need but you never know.

any other ideas ? anybody ?

Hopefully you have luck. I was going to buy a 98 that was in nice shape aside from the rockers being gone but couldn't find any. Body shops wanted more than the car was worth to make me some as well. Needless to say the car i have now I got the rockers oil sprayed well!

yes, watch the price to worth factor. i work at a body shop (13yrs) and sometimes the bodyshop will charge more than the car is worth. sometimes they just don't want to do that kind of work (rust repair). if you find someone, make sure they do reputible work. you can have something that looks "ok" but done improperly will look like hell within a year (espically in NE climates). Most body shops won't guarantee rust repair. good luck.

Thanks, I wont be buying from Morad, that may be collision prices but 400 is way too much. I would fab first, I do my own body work, welding and sandblasting. Im not worried about the value factor, my daughter already has too much into this car but she has drivin it a year and a half. When Im done, she should get another 2-4 years out of it and it should have some resale value, or I will keep it... not that I need any more "summer" cars. It simply would be junk if it went through this winter with the deterioration of those rockers and other rear undercarraige pieces unattended. The rockers are part of the structural strenght in a unibody. More later. Thanks again
