My 03's going into the shop in a couple weeks for some body work - rocker panel replacement and some other "age lifting" work. Thought about having the guy shoot some paint on the exhaust skirt - never been a huge fan of the grey color with the rest of the car being Redfire Metallic. Anyone else have theirs painted to match the primary color or have any thoughts pro/con?

I hate to give away my secret combination but go with a gloss black. Its adds a nice touch. Make sure the front matches the rear. I used to have that gray color too and at first it was alight but then I realized that it really didnt look good.

Here are some pics of mine. Its not gloss yet but will be. These will hopefully give you an idea of what to expect.

Ignore me in this picture. I think this picture shows it the best though.

I had mine painted black with the letters painted body color so I don't need an overlay.

Probably going to get a lot of heat for this but, if you want to try out black try some plasti-dip on it if you don't like it peel it off.

Thanks for the replies - I'm just not into the different colors pulled together on the back end, black doesn't do anything for me. I thought someone would be piping up about having body-matching paint on it - like the special and limited edition ones did (or at least I think - there's some sharp pics floating around on the internet of a white 03 LE that's got a white "skirt" on it - looks nice and like it was well thought out.

To be honest, anything will probably look good as long as you make sure the front is the same way. As long as you like it thats all that matters.
