I need to paint my bumper so I thought while it was in the shop I would get some stripes added to it. I like the smaller two stripes, it looks like they might be called hash marks, that come up from the wheel well and stop right at the hood. But before I commit I want to find more info about them yet I cant. I cant find anything in this forum or google. Am I not looking at the right place or what? I have a silver '00 GTP and want to do flat or gloss black stripes in the next week or so with the bumper re-spray. What do you think?

Yea I think I have enough plasti dip left to do it. The paint job has a lot of nics and scratches so it would not be ruined because it is already in need of some help. I want 4 inch gloss black hash marks with blue 1/8 inch trim showdowing. The blue will be like my reflectodome GTP emblem and calipers. No one likes hash marks huh? Probably only cost a $100 for the marks. My boss told me to repaint it silver but that is not my favorite color choice.

Do it in vinyl because I'm sure you will get tired of it after awhile and if its painted...well you'll be screwed.

I vote yes. I think that they a little to the car to make it stand out more. Some say it attracts negative attention from cops but Ive been rocking mine for a year now I think and they really don't care.

You guys dont think that stickers on a car look cheesy? I have seen them and they look good. I just though there was a lot of opportunity with the paint booth next week, for the bumper, and the stickers stand out as stickers vs paint looks more flush and like paint. Thanks for the input btw.

No. lol. Just dont speed. From what Ive noticed is that cops dont really pay attention to certain cars. At least the common everyday cars so much. Fitting into that group you should be fine.

Most people probably wont even notice if they are stickers unless they are peeling up or something.

Good stuff. Cool. I think your right about the cars. I have a sport bike as well and I think most cops dont bother trying to pull those over and would be bewildered if they caught one...unless they have something fast.

Thanks. With all the touch ups I needed im glad I didn't spend the extra money on hash marks. As is it is almost 1k to fix all the little hood nics, door nics, respray both bumpers and to fix a spot by the fuel door...
